Obstacle course

We built a great obstacle course on Thursday morning. I loved doing the egg and spoon race.

Party and the park!!!

Man what a great time we had at the wilrose superhero disco last friday. We danced and pretended to be our favourite heros. The park on Monday was also great, we all did rolling down the hill and got super dizzy.

I've got it. The X factor.

Fun, awesome, certificates, singing, dancing, morro bars are just some of the words that sum up our brilliant morning at the Historic village, detour theatre.  We performed Take it easy by stan walker and I think we were brilliant. Other performances by other groups from the other studios were, Titanium, eye of the tiger and have a little faith.  They were all good and the atmosphere were great.  I loved getting up on stage and can't wait till next time.

Muffin time

Hi ho, off to make muffins we go, lovely banana filling. They tasted as good as they looked and we were all proud.

Great to have lovely food and cake with David on Thursday for lunch, don't tell anyone but he's 56 years old now!! Doesn't look it does he?  Happy birthday I had a great day.

Fashion parade.

We left on Monday for papamoa and enjoyed a morning with the lovely ladies and were wowed by beautiful dresses and stylish accessories.

Hamurana Springs delights

We had a great time visiting hamurana springs yesterday, we drove to Rotorua early then had a wonderful walk around the springs. It was cold for me, however the scenery was really beautiful.  We saw loads of birds and a big rainbow trout. Here's a few of my favourite pics:

We all saw John key when he came to Te Puke. It was a memorable time for everyone.

We have been working on some tye dying at the studio. We appear to be having a little difficulty with my colour red which is coming out more than I like.

Guitar bonanza

We had a special guest on Wednesday afternoon. Our friend malakai came to sing us some songs! We all loved it and had a song a long! 

Winter gardening

We all joined in to help tidy the front garden, a little pruning, watering and tidying go a long way.

Steam box lunch

We all helped out to prepare the Kai for the steam box. It is a little bit like a hangi except you don't cook the food in the ground.

Monday mornings

I was up at seven this morning. I had a cup of tea while watching the news. I made my bed this morning before the van arrived to pick me up for the studio. This morning at the studio we have baked biscuits to share.

Coffee morning

Gabriel,Dave,Tamzyn,Shelley and I enjoyed a coffee morning on Monday.  We had a great time making hot chocolates and fresh coffee.

Art project

This week we began a new art project that I really got into. I will tell you what it is another day!!!

Vege soup

 We made vege soup this morning. The celery was out of the planter box that we made at the studio. We all had tasks chopping,peeling,stirring and of course the shopping. Lucky we made a big pot so everybody could share some. Nothing like hot soup a cold winters day.

Up date for Wellington

I feel really excited and proud to let people know that I am in the te puke times this week with my whanau which has the story of our achievement in Wellington. If you manage to get hold of a newspaper I am the one front row far left.

Wellinton

I am back from Wellington and I had a great time. We went to Te papa and then to the beehive. We stayed on a marae. We practiced some waiata, caught up with whanau and shared Kai.

The meeting was interesting and informative.

I would like to go back sometime.

By the way; Wellington stood up to its name! Windy Wellington!!

Windy wells awaits!!!

Yesterday I took the bus at 4am to go to Wellington to make a special delivery to the beehive . I will explain all when I get back on friday. 

Word search

Gabriel and I were working on a word search today finding words all about the weather. At times Laurene was helping out as well. Thanks goodness we look outside and the sun is shining today.

Cooking

The best part of cooking is eating of course. However we must all remember that there are always dishes. Today is my turn to dry and put them in the cupboards.

Maori culture outing to Makatu

We took a great trip to Makatu on Tuesday for Moari culture. We were following the book T for Tauranga and visiting the look out at the top of town point road to see the islands. Then we went to the information centre in Makatu and stopped in at the giant kiwi fruit for more photos and fun before setting off for the Te puke studio.

Winter is coming

The mornings are getting colder now however I get a good workout when I arrive at my job at KFC pushing that broom around the carpark. I am always proud of the result though.

Birthday cake

I had a really nice lunch yesterday with my family and we all had chocolate cake at the studio today happy birthday to carrie.

Birthday

It's my birthday this weekend and I am going to have dinner with my family. Yum birthday cake at the studio on monday.

Beach

At the beach we had a game or apple bobbing it was a lot of fun and the apple was very tasty.

Ten pin

We had a game of ten pin this morning we have to be careful that we bowl the ball and not drop it on our toes.

Valentine cards

We made a heap of cards for valentines day they are all different colours. We will all choose one to take home who will get mine?..
