Christmas Party

  Our Wilrose centre celebrated our 2022 Christmas party with a disco day and pizza and Ice cream for lunch. We all had so much fun.

Tauranga Citz Club

 I enjoyed myself at the Tauranga Citz Club. I had a nice cold can of coke and saw my friends from Connect 20.

Sonic cinema

 It was good getting out to go see the Christmas movie at the sonic cinema. I enjoyed the popcorn and juice. I love a good movie! 

Singing

 I sung some of my favorite songs at singing this week! I had a lot of fun and can't wait to do it again 

Vacuuming

 I helped to vacuuming the art room at clean up time. I was showing the young ones how it’s done! It was a good work out! 

Karaoke

 I joined in with music this week and sung a couple of my favourite songs at karaoke! 

River dance

 This week in sensory I watch some lord of the dance ‘river dancing’. There were lots of beautiful dancers an$ good beat music to listen too.

Fishing fun

 I went fishing with my friends at the wairoa River. It was a nice sunny morning and really cool to sit by the water.we didn't catch anything but we did get a few decent bites. Bring on the next fishing trip

Swimming Spectator

 I went to watch my friends have a swim at Greerton Pools. They were so entertaining! 

Halloween disco

 I laughed so much watching my friends dancing at the Halloween Disco! I even got up and had a boogie myself to the Chicken Song! We had a yummy hangi lunch! 

Pikelets

I helped cook some pikelets and then we had a pikelet party! 

Kulim Park

 My friends and I had a lovely morning at Kulim Park. We sung Waiata’s with the guitar. We saw many different dogs and watched the children play in the water. 

Sensory & Karaoke

 I have been enjoying relaxing in the sensory room with my friends and having a sing long in karaoke. 

Bear grylls

 I’ve been chilling out at the centre this week. One morning we watched some bear Grylls survival videos and he was trying to survive the Pacific islands. He was stranded in the ocean on a raft but managed to find his way to an island. I found it really funny and interesting 

Cinemate Film Club

 I went to the Greerton Library to join the Cinemate film club group. We watched a movie called a beautiful day in the neighborhood and enjoyed a cup of tea. 

Hangi day

 I really enjoyed our hangi it tasted great. I even helped out peeling the vegetables. It’s good to help out . I had two helpings of hangi.

Maxwells Beach

 I had a nice morning out at the beach with my friends. The sun felt nice and warm on my skin.

Surprise Disco

 We had a surprise Disco at Wilrose. It was a fun day! I enjoyed watching my friends dancing and even got up and had a groove myself. 

Mount Hot Pools

  I enjoyed going to the Mount Hot Pools with some friends to watch them have a swim. I found a nice comfy lounger and relaxed in the sunshine. It was a nice way to spend a morning.

Laughing yoga

 It was a hoot to go to the welcome bay community centre to learn how to do abit of laughing yoga! I haven’t laughed so much in ages. We did some breathing skills too! 

Planet earth sensory

 This week the theme was the colour yellow and sunshine in planet earth sensory. I listened to some old school songs that were about sunshine like John Denver and Katrina and the waves!  I enjoyed singing along.

Sonic cinema

 I absolutely enjoyed my day at sonic cinema. We watched coco it was a beautiful movie. I look forward to going again.

Disco day

 I had a great time listening to the music,  watching my friends dance and bopping my head to the music. We had a yummy soup and fry bread for lunch with some fruit salad too.
