jamming in June

 Hi Whanau, 

I have enjoyed jamming along with waiata and singing an old classic ‘bluest heartache’ that I performed for the Wilrose iSing performance with my mate Gayleen this month. A highlight for me was going to sit in the sun at Ila Park. We had a sausage sizzle and soaked in the rays. It was bliss.

I’ve enjoyed having a laugh watching some crazy A.I videos on the ipad.It was cracking me up! Plus a few Netflix movies like Ordinary Angels,Rescue by Ruby and Surviving Paradise, a documentary which was about Elephants.

In sensory I have relaxed to Panpipes,around the world in 30 songs, life in colour and watched cooking in Greece, Asian street food and of course I’ve watched my favourite lady Grandma Borscht cooking old school ways and recipes from Ukraine!

The May wrap up!

Kia ora whānau,

I can tell winter is on the way as it’s getting colder, so I’ve chosen to enjoy a few movies

like The Greatest Showman, Swamped, and Cadillac Records. I’ve also been relaxing

with "a galaxy far, far away," water sounds, Māori culture, and of course, I watched my

favourite cooking programme, a new Asian street food show, and a few episodes

of Human Playground on Netflix, which was quite different.

I did see an interesting tutorial on growing oyster mushrooms and helped to get

a couple of blocks set up and started, which I've been checking in on to watch them grow!

I’ve enjoyed practising my old school song, "Bluest Heartache," and bopping along to our

waiata sessions. Hope to see your face at our iSing performance where you can listen

to our tunes!

I am looking forward to going to Quirks Cafe for a treat this Friday at Greerton centre

and checking out their talent quest!

New kayaks

 We picked up these kayaks for the centre. Takes me back to when I went kayaking at Omokoroa. I'm keen to get back in one soon. 

Creative kitchen

 I got in the kitchen to make some tasty tomato relish. It smelt great cooking away on the stove. I'm looking forward to eating some on my sandwiches!

2026

 It's good to be back with friends at Arohanui. I got straight into singing some waiata, some of my favorite tunes! 

Summer bloom

 Summer is here so im staying in the aircon to keep cool. There are some beautiful flowers in bloom at the moment so we decided to bring some indoors these one are Hydrangea, the colours are so pretty. 

 

Reading

 I enjoyed catching up on some of the gossip reading my women's day. There were some yummy looking recipes in there that made my mouth water too!!! 

Connect 20

 I enjoyed going to get a yummy lunch at the Tauranga citz club and joining up with the connect 20 crew afterwards. The renovations down there are looking Ka pai.

 Wow my personal photo album is looking fabulous, I was having a good look through because I had forgotten all the things I've been up to this year! Neat alright. 

Waiata

 I've been jamming on the mic, practicing my waiata 'He puru tai Tama e'. I am going to be singing it for the christmas performance. 

Connect 20 lunch

 I enjoyed having some creamy mushrooms and chips for lunch at the Citizens Clubs connect 20. Look forward to going back again soon! 

Garden time

 I got outside to check what my friends have been doing in the Wilrose garden. There's some nice looking vegies been planted. Bring on summer so they grow bigger and I can help eat them! 

Wonka movie at Sonic cinema

I wanted a sweet treat after watching the new Wonka movie at Sonic cinema this week. Was a good watch. 

Te puke show

 I went for a drive out to the Arohanui Te Puke centre to watch their annual show ' life is a highway'. It had some good tunes to sing along to. I might go again next year! 

Art exhibition

 I chose to go check out the art exhibition at the Tauranga intermediate. There were some cool paintings to see. I found myself a comfy spot and did abit of people watching too! 

Tenpin and games

 I had fun going to cheer my friends on at tenpin bowling 13th Ave. Afterwards I played a few arcade games, throwing the balls and deal or no deal and won some tickets! 

Connect 20

I enjoyed lunch today at the Citizens Club, indulging in my favourite, Hot chips & creamy mushrooms!

It was nice to catch up with friends from Connect 20.

 

Kulim park

 I decided to go bask in the sun down at Kulim park with some friends. It was a beautiful winters, nice to get some sun rays and go for a hikoi! 

Disco with D.J spin

 It was agood morning having a Disco with D.j spin playing us some sounds. For lunch we had savoury mince with fried bread. Tino pai.

Hangi pot

 I had a mean feed of hangi after being in the kitchen to help prepare & cook it. Mmm mm tu meke!
